Nate Davis: They would come into town. They would come to Hargraves, and talk about how nice the place is. And that’s because, once they found out it’s – this is Hargraves Recreation Center, it’s in a Black neighborhood, there should be something wrong with it. There should be broken windows. There should be, y’know, holes in the wall. Just because, where they came from you got a place that’s a bad place; so everybody just goes ahead [and] automatically says: “Well, Hargraves is gonna be the bad place.” And it’s not. You know, you still have some families that will not let their child come to Hargraves. And I don’t why. I don’t know if it’s because of the location, or because I’m workin’ here [laughter] or what it is. But we still have families that will not let their child come to Hargraves. They came to Hargraves, but they will not let their child come to Hargraves.
