Nate Davis: No, I had graduated from high school. I was living on Merritt Mill Road when I graduated high school. And after that, I really couldn’t decide what I wanted to do. [I] played sports in high school, was planning on playing sports in college, and I hurt my leg. I pulled my hamstring my senior year in high school running track, and just kind of gave up on sports and, eventually, gave up on college. So I was just kind of [doing] odd jobs during that time for about two or three years. You know, we always came back to Hargraves. So came back to Hargraves, hanging out again and started working part-time here, got involved with a program, the neighborhood youth corps program, got involved with them. Went back to school. They paid for me to go back to school in recreational administration at North Carolina Central. And working over at Hargraves full-time. Not full-time, part-time. And Before I could graduate from college, the Town offered me a full-time position here at Hargraves. And so I took that because I’d gotten married and had one son. So it was an opportunity for me to work full-time and so I took that job and was planning on going back to school, but had another son so I ended up not going back to school since I was working here and working a part-time job also.
