Alexander Stephens: How do you feel about some – about the way it’s changed, I mean what is your feeling about that?
Nate Davis: Well, you know I was talking with a lady the other day, and she called and she wanted to rent Hargraves for a family reunion, and I told her, you know, how much it costs to rent it. And she said she grew up in Chapel Hill, she no longer lives in Chapel Hill, but she grew up in Chapel Hill and she said, “That’s our community center, I should be able to use it free.” And she said, “That community center is for our community, and we shouldn’t have to pay, and I’m gonna talk to some people about taking the community center back from the town.” I said, “Okay now remember when you do that, the town provides a whole lot of support to all the facilities in Chapel Hill.” I said, “Just like the support they provide for the other facilities in Chapel Hill, they do the same thing for Hargraves.” Now if–which, I don’t think that would happen, but, you know, just think, we spent over a million dollars to build a gym, the town spent over a million dollars for the renovation of the pool in Hargraves, you know, so if you’re talking about taking something back, look at what you’ve gotta do. The town put a lot of money in this facility. They give this facility a lot of support. Some people may say, “No they don’t,” but they do, ‘cause I‘m here everyday and I see, you know, what’s going on. But you know, I think the facilities should continue to be operated by the Town of Chapel Hill, and just we as staff have got to look at bringing in some new programs that people want to see.
