Nate Davis: So yeah, there was always something to do, always something for the young people to do, whether it was at Hargraves, or one of the churches or, you know, going on a picnic. Mr. Battle used to get a group together and we’d go to Camp New Hope and spend the night. We’d go to Lake Michie in Durham and spend the night and, you know, camp out. Back then we did have a lot more flexibility to do things, but today with all the legal stuff and liability; if you take somebody’s child somewhere now, there’s all types of waiver forms that you have to sign, liability issues, safety issues, things like that that you have to go through. We knew the parents. We know the kids now, and we know their grandparents or their great-grandparents, but some of the parents we do not know.
