Nate Davis - Aspirations (clip)
Interviewed by Alexander Stephens on April 17, 2012
Alexander Stephens (AS): Sorry, could you say that again?
Nate Davis (ND): I said I probably would be here for another 2 or 3 years working. My oldest son lives in Durham and he has a 2 year old grandson, but that grandson has started coming to our house on weekends. Now, the first place that he wants to come is Hargraves. So, if he wants to come to Hargraves, I have to stay here. But I’m pretty sure that, I know that when I do leave the Town [of Chapel Hill], they’ll make sure that they have someone that’ll come here and do the job. Not bragging on myself, but I don’t think that they can hire anyone that cares more about this facility than I do.
AS: Do you hope they hire someone connected to the community in some way?
ND: I hope they hire someone that has a connection with the community and cares about the people, and the community, and enjoys working with all different age groups. If that person is from the community, that’s great, if it’s not and they feel like that’s the best person, that’s good too then. I’ve had conversations with some guys from Chapel Hill that were interested in working over here, but my thing is it would be up to the town.
