Frank Porter Graham Elementary School is named for educator and UNC president Frank Porter Graham. It opened in 1962 as an all-Black school with 12 teachers and 240 students serving grades one through eight. In the 2020s, it is an elementary school with a dual-language immersion program in English and Spanish.
