David Caldwell, Jr. (DC): So, you know we’ve made our contributions. My brothers and I, we’ve put in, my father, we’ve put in way over a hundred years in law enforcement and close to forty years in the military. So, how much more can a family give? That’s what we’ve done and that’s not counting my uncles who’ve put in their time…

Blanche Brown: In a different way, yeah…

DC: …and retired out of military service. You know, so you see to come and do that and then be treated the way you are, you kind of get the feeling of the way the guys felt going to Vietnam and then coming back and not being allowed to go in a store or not being allowed to go in a certain area and this type, so you kind of got the feeling about the way they must have felt after the fighting the way they did over there and then to come back here and be treated that way. It’s…racism is alive and well and as soon as we close our eyes or turn our back it’s going to overwhelm us again.
