In this interview, Yvonne Cleveland talks about her move from New York to North Carolina and how God has guided her. Yvonne grew up in Brooklyn and starting in 2nd grade she was bussed to different schools. She had her first child the year she graduated. She worked in various jobs in Lower Manhattan in finance offices. After visiting North Carolina on a church trip, she moved to North Carolina with her husband and second child. Yvonne shared about buying a home, supporting her family, gardening, and how God continues to speak to her. She shares how studying God’s word gives her joy, as well as being a facilitator and helping others learn how to study God’s word as well. Yvonne currently works at the Jackson Center and shares how she feels blessed to hear people's stories and how they have risen above hardships, led the path for others, and have created community.
