Tommy and Jason Owens

Interviewed by Hannah Friedman on March 27, 2010

This interview is part of the Marian Cheek Jackson Center’s Facing Our Neighbors series. Tommy Owens and his brother, Jason, reflect on their neighborhood in Chapel Hill and the neighbors they’ve had in it in the 2 years they have been living there (in 2010). They go on to describe the community bond that they share with neighbors and how the neighborhood had changed over time. The brothers describe how safe the community feels and how it has become “smaller” to them over time, but it has a couple areas it could improve. Lastly, they speak to how different the neighborhood is for a kid in the internet age.
