Are you new to Northside/Pine Knolls?

You might want to start your visit by walking and streaming “Histories of Homes: A Walk with Northside Neighbors”. Starting at the front steps of St. Joseph C.M.E. on West Rosemary in Chapel Hill, long-time residents, Mrs. Pat Jackson and Reverend Willis Farrington, will lead you through the historic Pottersfield and Sunset neighborhoods. You’ll hear the history beneath your feet come alive in neighbors’ recollections of and visions for Northside homeplace. This ambient “soundwalk” is a production of the Marian Cheek Jackson Center, 2011.
