Evelyn Dove-Coleman
Evelyn Dove-Coleman established PathChoice Ministry in Chapel Hill in 1992 by bringing role models to speak to underprivileged youth at the Hargraves Community Center in North Side. Then-mayor Ellie Kinnaird and AMIE Tutor Esphur Foster supported bringing the children to the center and feeding them a nutritious breakfast on Saturday mornings.
Evelyn Dove-Coleman graduated from UNC Chapel Hill undergraduate school and UNC Law School. She earned her degree in English in 3 years, was a member of the Order of the Valkyries Honor Society, the North Carolina Fellows, the AKA Sorority Charter Line, and an Institiute of Government Intern. She was a member of First Baptist Church during her six years at UNC.
Evelyn is the proud mother of twins, Jay and Lee Coleman, who turned 30 in 2021 and are successful professionals.
