Patricia "Pat" Jackson - On schools (clip)

Interviewed on March 26, 2025

Patricia Jackson: We’re at the Lincoln High School Students’ page and where it says, “Later in 1962, Lincoln High School was dissolved as younger Pottersfield children began to attend Frank Porter Graham Elementary School, while older students were integrated into Chapel Hill High School.” That’s not correct. Yeah. Lincoln High School was the high school. Frank Porter Graham was already an elementary school. Lincoln High School was dissolved and students from Lincoln High School, that, the age and the number of school [grades], from that high school was 7th grade to 12th grade. Those students were merged into Chapel Hill High- the first Chapel Hill High School on East Franklin Street.
