Kathy Atwater - On Holmes Daycare (clip)

Kathy Atwater: It was the first African American daycare center in this area. Right before mandatory integration, I don’t think the Black kids were allowed to go to the white daycares. That’s my thought. I mean the older folks here may know different but my mother, she wanted me to stay with the Black community.
