Kalee McClain - On her cooking business and her state certification (clip)

Interviewed by Aisha Booze-hall on August 3, 2023

Kalee McClain (KM): I just like cooking and baking, so my Mom thought that I should have my own business.

Aisha Booze-hall (AB): How old were you when you started that business?

KM: Like eleven.

AB: You passed a safety course related to that? How old were you at that time?

KM: Twelve.

AB: You were the youngest person?

KM: Yeah

AB: What did you do? Will you spell it out for us? You were the youngest person to do what?

KM: To pass the safe certified test in North Carolina.

AB: Ok So, tell us more about your business and then more about what you know and why you are invested in the community here because you do a lot for it but, why?

KM: Why? I think it’s just good to be involved in the community. Yeah.
