Dennis Lee Farrington Jr. - On family and growing up in Chapel Hill

This interview was a part of the History Potluck held by the Marian Cheek Jackson Center in October 2019. In this interview, Dennis Farrington, a current member of the Northside community reflects on his life. He discusses growing up in Chapel Hill and the integration of schools in the city. He also talks about his siblings and his parents, both of whom worked for the University of North Carolina. He also discusses a brief period of time when he moved and worked in New Jersey. He discusses his marriage, his children, and his grandchildren and shows pride in all three. He also reflects on how he and his wife have taken of each other over the years. Finally, he emphasizes the importance of staying in touch with the ones that we love and loving through actions rather than through words.
