This interview is part of the Marian Cheek Jackson Center’s Facing Our Neighbors Series. Mr. Andres Morales-Castillo begins by describing the neighborhood in which he lives, contrasting it with his neighborhood back in Mexico. He relates a story about a friend who enrolled in the military and died while at war as an example of a special neighbor. The interview also includes a discussion of the food bank based out of the church, who uses it, and the role it plays for community members. The interview concludes with questions about what an ideal community would look like.
