Dedication of New Educational Building at St. Joseph CME Church

The second page "A Word From the Pastor" reads:

The occasion which brings us together today is indeed one that will long be remembered in the hearts and minds of those of us who have worked and waited for this moment. To the members of St. Joseph who have given untiringly of themselves, and have worked and waited for this moment; to the members of St. Joseph C.M.E. Church who have worked so faithfully for the measure of success with which God has so marvelously blessed us; and to you who have endured through days of conflict and trial, let me say "Thank You" for a job well done.

We remember the faith, dedication, service and givts of those who gave so much of themselves during our building program, but who were called home to greater rewards.

We could call several names. I do feel, however, that it is indeed fitting that this building be dedicated in memory of the late Mr. Henry Baldwin, whose unselfish bequest of his estate to St. Joseph C.M.E. Church testifies in part to his commitment of faith, loyalty, and service to the church. His gift assisted greatly in our building program efforts and his devotion to the church will long be remembered.

Finally, I am indeed hopeful that all of us will be richer and the life of the church and its potential for greater involvement in meeting the cry of human needs, both social and spiritual, will be enhanded by a new vision of faith and dynamic service.
