Black Builders: Honoring a Legacy

Black Builders: Honoring a Legacy is a short documentary produced by the MCJC’s public history team for our annual Community Cinema event. It features historic and current photos accompanying oral history excerpts describing the themes chosen by the community design team for the Builders Gateway to exemplify the legacy of the builders. The 2025 Cinema Event had two sold-out showings with numerous local builders and family members of local builders in attendance.
